Description
The Tuck Shop is a mid-19th century, two-storey building that originally formed part of a pair. It features colourwashed stucco on a rubble base. At the top, there is a panelled blocking course above a moulded cornice. The first-floor sash windows have moulded architraves, although the glazing bars have been removed.
The ground floor boasts a well-preserved shopfront with a continuous dentil cornice and a plain fascia. Above sunk panelled pilasters with fluted bases, there are consoles. The central doorway is recessed and topped with a rectangular fanlight over a half-glazed panelled door. On either side of the doorway, there are three-light shop windows supported by turned rods with foliate capitals. The stall risers are plastered, and there is a modern door located between the pilasters at the left end.
