17 Guildhall Square

17 Guildhall Square is a house that has been converted into commercial premises. It features a stucco exterior, a slate roof, and stuccoed end chimneys. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, with a total of three bays. The attic windows, which are 4-pane sashes, break the eaves line and have a catslide roof, with only the center window aligned with those below. There is a rainwater head located in the left-hand corner. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has two windows on the left and center, with the center window being wider and replacing a former door. To the right, there is a 20th-century shop front. The building also has a stucco plinth.

At the rear, the wing facing Bull Lane is heavily rendered, concealing earlier features. It has a projection on the right side that indicates a lateral chimney breast, although the stack is missing. The gable end also has a massive rendered chimney breast with a missing stack, which was listed as rubble stone in 1981.

The interior has undergone significant alterations, with the ground floor being entirely late 20th-century work. The staircase along the left side wall is likely not original, and there is one cased beam on the first floor. The rear wing contains pine roof trusses.
