Description
Pont Llandysul is a single-span bridge constructed from rubble stone with carefully finished dressings. It features a segmental arch made of voussoirs, topped by a projecting band just below the parapet. The arch is flanked by shallow stepped pilasters. Each abutment has a circular opening, similar to the old bridge at Pontypridd in Glamorgan. The coped parapet includes saddleback copings on the pilasters. On the right bank, which is in Ceredigion, the abutment curves outward on the upstream side and ends in a square gate pier on the downstream side.
