Description
This building on Bridge Street is a house constructed from coursed rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring stone end stacks. It is two stories tall and has a three-window facade with well-spaced sash windows: nine panes above and twelve panes below, along with a central door. The windows have stone voussoirs above their cambered heads and slate sills. The entrance features a six-panel door with a traceried overlight. The flat eaves are supported by paired brackets.
Number 1, which is attached to the east, shares similar bracketed eaves but has a single large shopfront from the 19th century. The shopfront includes a central door flanked by two large three-light shop windows, each with Tudor-arched heads. There are piers on either side of the shop windows that support brackets for an overall shelf hood, and the entrance has double doors with an overlight. The building also has an outshut at the rear and a rear wing that contains a twelve-pane sash window.
