Description
Rocklee is a house and service wing, now functioning as a separate residence, built from snecked rubble stone with slate roofs. The main part of the building, known as Rock House, is a large two-storey structure featuring a three-window range, rendered end stacks, and altered flat eaves. It has 12-pane sash windows with cambered heads, stone voussoirs, and slate sills. The broad central doorway is adorned with pilasters, an entablature, and a cornice made of painted timber, and it includes a two-panel door with sidelights and overlights, as well as arched panels. In front, there is a dwarf wall topped with iron spearhead railings.
To the right is Rocklee, a lower two-storey extension with a two-window layout, featuring an inner bay that cants out to the street line. It has a slate roof, a stone west end stack, and a stone parapet with a plain shelf cornice. This section also includes 12-pane sash windows and a modern door with an overlight.
