Description
Ty Pen Pownd is a single-storey building, likely used as a dye store, constructed from rubble stone with a pitched slate roof and cast iron rainwater goods. The south elevation features a doorway on the left with a timber lintel. The rear (north) elevation also has a doorway on the left and a slit vent on the right. The gable end facing the yard includes two small-paned windows, each with 12 panes and a swivelling upper section of 3 panes, all with timber lintels and slate sills. The gable end facing the offices has similar windows.
Inside, the building has wooden roof trusses with low tie-beams, the ends of which are visible from the exterior.
