Description
The office building at the Museum of Welsh Woollen Industry is an early 20th-century structure that consists of a two-storey range with an attic. The exterior features drydash rendered walls and timber framed sash windows with cambered heads, topped by a pitched slated roof with brick end stacks and cast iron rainwater goods.
On the south elevation, there is a five-window range with four-pane sashes on the upper floor. The ground floor includes, from left to right, a modern door with a glazed upper panel, two paired sash windows, a similar door, and another matching paired sash window. The gable facing the road has two paired sashes on each floor. The gable end facing the yard features a four-pane attic window and another four-pane sash window on the first floor, which is offset to the right. The ground floor has a slate-roofed canopy over a former loading bay, with a four-pane sash window to the right.
The rear (north) elevation includes a cast iron spiral staircase and five timber framed four-pane sash windows on each floor, with the far right window converted into a door. The interior of the ground floor has been completely altered for use as a café and offices.
