Llanelli West Signal Box

Llanelli West Signal Box is a two-storey structure built from brick and timber, topped with a hipped slate roof. The north trackside elevation features a timber gallery on the upper floor, which includes continuous glazing with four horizontally sliding sash windows, although the ones on the west side have been replaced. The ground floor has three small pane windows with projecting cills. The gallery extends to both the east and west; the west elevation has a large fixed small pane window, while the east elevation has a plain window and a door accessed by modern steel stairs. Below, there is a plain door leading to the locking room. The south elevation has a canted corner with two blocked windows on the upper floor and an external stack that is truncated at the eaves level. Inside, there is a plain boarded rafter roof, a lever frame, and equipment from 1973.
