Description
The walls and railings in front of Nos 9 and 10 are a low stone terrace wall that supports a raised pavement. The wall increases in height as it goes downhill to the right and is topped with iron railings featuring slender uprights. The top rail ramps down on either side of a flight of three steps located opposite No 9. The railings have standards with urn finials. There are two bays to the left of the steps and four to the right, with the railings extending to separate steps and railings that lead up to the doorway of No 10. The terrace wall continues further to the near right-hand end of No 10. Most of the railings have been replaced with replicas since 1981, except for one section on each side of the steps opposite No 9.
