Description
The gates and railings to Capel Elim are a Grade II listed structure dating from 1898. They feature a forecourt dwarf wall constructed with stone laid in partly irregular courses, topped with ashlar coping. The low railings have circular uprights adorned with finials. The open-panelled iron gate posts are embellished with cornices and curved pyramidal caps, also featuring finials. The two central gates are designed similarly to the railings and rise alternately above the lock and top rails. The gate posts are marked with the name J. Thomas of Johns Town.
