Description

The gates and railings at Capel Blaenplwyf are constructed with low rubble stone walls topped with slate coping. The railings feature twisted standards with fleur de lys cast-iron heads, with every alternate standard extending through the bottom rail to the coping. There are thicker cast-iron stanchions, also twisted, which have larger fleur-de-lys heads. The double gates are made with similar bars and dog-bars. Additionally, there are plain octagonal cast-iron piers with caps and ball finials.
