Description
Penffordd is a single-storey mid-terrace cottage, part of a terrace of three, with the end cottages featuring gable ends and the centre cottage being double fronted. It faces a matching terrace across the street. The cottage has a whitewashed rubble symmetrical frontage, a pitched slate roof, and large stone end stacks that have been heightened with red brick in the later 20th century. The entrance is a boarded timber door with a lightly cambered head, located at the centre. On either side of the door are sharply pointed Gothic windows, which have stone voussoirs and painted stone sills. The original windows have been replaced with small-paned 20th-century lights that feature interlacing bars at the heads, similar to those on the rest of the row. The front of the cottage is paved with cobbles. The building was not inspected at the time of the survey.
