Description
Stealey Cottage is a 2-storey, 3-window cottage built from coursed rubble stone, topped with a roof of graded local slates and featuring coped gables. The end stacks are pebble dashed. The front of the cottage has openings beneath stone wedge lintels, including a central doorway with a replaced door, but the original stop-chamfered wooden door frame remains. There are small-pane hornless sash windows with stone sills. The left gable end has an inserted window at the lower left. Both the left gable end and the rear of the cottage are pebble-dashed. An integral rear lean-to, offset to the left side, retains its original slate roof, although it has a replaced window and an added projection. Above the lean-to, there is a small window that has replaced an earlier opening.
