Description

Yr Hen Dafarn, formerly Gorse Cottage, is a two-story, double-fronted house built of rubble stone with larger quoins, and has a slate roof with stone end stacks. The windows have wedge lintels in the lower story and are set beneath the eaves in the upper story. The central doorway is half-glazed. The windows are small-pane, hornless sashes. The right-hand gable end has a boarded doorway leading to a cellar, located towards the left, and a two-light casement window in the lower story, set under a wooden lintel. Further to the right are two inserted windows. The rear elevation is rendered with replaced windows, a gabled porch, and a flat-roofed projection on the right side. This building exhibits group value. Not inspected.
