Description

Fountain Hall is a house that has been subdivided into flats. It features late 20th century roughcast cladding and slate roofs. The building consists of two parallel ranges that have been significantly modernised. The southern range, which faces the roadside, has close-eaved gable ends and a small late 20th century brick stack at the eastern end. The south side has three windows, all with late 20th century glazing, including three square uPVC windows above and two triple casements with a central casement pair below. The end walls are roughcast, and there is a door on the ground floor to the right in the eastern end wall, as well as a window on the first floor to the left in the western end wall.

The northern range has an east-facing hipped eaves roof and a broad two-storey canted bay positioned to the right. This bay features uPVC glazing in large former sash windows with keystones, including one window on the ground floor and three above. To the left, there is a similar window with a keystone above an altered doorway that has a window, all in uPVC. The northern side has openings on the first floor due to the slope of the ground, with some keystones present, but most openings have been altered. One opening was lost since 1981, which previously included a door and two windows.

The interior was not available for inspection but is reported to have been entirely altered during the conversion to flats. In 1981, it was noted to have six-panel doors in the entrance hall and the northwest room, as well as a doorway with a fanlight at the southwest end of the hall.
