Description
The footbridge beside the Lane through Catershook Wood is a long, narrow structure measuring about 40 meters in length and only 1 meter wide between the parapets. It features three widely spaced, low, horseshoe-shaped openings with voussoirs, although two of these openings have some concrete repair. The bridge is notable for its high parapet walls, which are proportionately tall for the width of the bridge, possibly indicating that animals were transported along this route. The parapets gently ramp down at each end, reaching ground level on the road side, and are topped with modern rounded cement coping.
