Description
The bridge at the west end of the lane in Whitewebbs Wood, part of the Wild Woods Garden Centre, is an ornamental footbridge dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features a very wide single segmental arched span constructed from multicoloured stock bricks, which are laid in uneven planes to create a rustic appearance. The parapet has rounded coping, being very low in the center and slightly higher at the sides, and it ends with four stout round brick piers. Below the bridge is a brick pavement that is now above water level, likely always has been, as the bridge closes the westward view along the lane. Some of the brickwork is missing.
