Description

Pont Rhyd-y-Dyfrgi is a bridge approximately 30 meters long and 5 meters wide, featuring a flat carriageway. It is constructed of rubble with natural rock foundations, which create irregular cutwaters on both the upstream and downstream sides. The bridge has segmental arches, with the central arch being wider and higher than the flanking arches. The voussoirs are roughly dressed, and there are arch rings and flat, dividing pilasters. Below the slab-coped parapets is a plain string course, and the northern approaches are splayed, ending with square, coped terminating piers.
