Description

The Agricultural Complex at Pant Glas is a large, planned agricultural facility built around a quadrangular courtyard that is partially cobbled. It features rubble construction with some rough-dressed stone that has been reused from the demolished ranges of the former Pant Glas mansion to the west. The roofs are hipped and covered with slate, with tiled ridges and machine-cut slate lintels and cills.

The complex includes a large, symmetrical four-bay corn barn located to the north, with low byre and stable ranges extending as flanking wings to the east and west. Access to the courtyard is from the south, between two additional storeyed blocks, one of which on the east side has a small datestone indicating it was built in 1883. The corn barn has a large central entrance with flanking tiered ventilation slits, and there is a 20th-century lean-to addition on the right with a corrugated asbestos roof, along with another entrance beyond it.

The western front block features two large cart entrances, while a three-bay pigsty with a slated roof is attached to the front of the eastern block. The front blocks have upper haylofts that can be accessed from the courtyard via external flights of steps with coped parapets, one of which was rebuilt in 1996.
