Description
39 West Street is one of a pair of houses in a longer terrace, featuring pebbledash cladding, an imitation slate roof, and a stone stack on the left end. The building is two stories high with an attic and has a two-window range. It has 20th-century plastic windows throughout, except for the attic.
Both Nos 39 and 41 share a central gable in the roof that contains two attic three-pane casement windows with sloping heads. The upper floor has two windows, while the ground floor has one window offset to the right of the upper left window and a doorway to the right. The ground floor features a 20th-century four-panel door with a plain overlight and a slate step. The windows have plain stucco eared surrounds with moulded keystones, and the door has a similar surround without ears, connected to a narrow stucco plinth that includes two small vents. The windows and roof have been replaced since the building was listed in 1978.
