Description
13 Hamilton Street is a terraced house, paired with No 11, featuring unpainted stucco cladding that is lined to resemble ashlar. The house has a slate roof with a dentil cornice and a brick stack on the right side. It is two storeys high and has a two-window range. The upper floor has two 12-pane hornless sash windows with moulded architraves, while the ground floor has a similar window on the right with a moulded surround and a cornice supported by console brackets.
To the left is a fine doorway, which is paired with the door of No 11. This doorway has a fielded four-panelled door with a lozenge-patterned overlight, flanked by plain moulded pilasters that support a cornice on ornate consoles. The panelled frieze above features remains of rosettes in square panels. The left pilaster and console are shared with the doorway of No 11. There is evidence of old colourwash on the door surround, and the house has a raised plinth.
The property is also accompanied by 19th-century iron railings that have uprights with twisted finials and curvilinear motifs. The gates are missing, but the railings match those in front of No 11 and are similar to those at No 41 High Street.
