Belhaven Hotel

The Belhaven Hotel is a building from around 1800 that has been altered over time. It features a stucco front, a slate roof, and end wall stacks, with stone on the east side and brick on the west. The hotel is three storeys high and has three windows across the front, with bracketed eaves. The original sash windows have been replaced with 20th-century plastic-coated windows. There are paired front doors framed by late 19th-century moulded stucco surrounds. The outer windows on the ground and first floors are tripartite sashes, and the central pair of doors is set within a doorcase that has stucco fluted pilasters and a cornice. The right-hand door is central and likely the original. The ground floor windows are topped with cornices. The facade is covered in 20th-century sand-textured paint.

Inside, there is an original fanlight above the inner door to the hall, a staircase with stick balusters and turned newels, and a six-panel door leading to the ground floor east room. This room features elliptical arches that open between the front and back, with an original traceried fanlight above.
