Description
Ty Melyn is an early 19th-century house featuring later unpainted roughcast and a slate roof, with brick end wall stacks added in the late 19th century. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window range. The upper windows are hornless 12-pane sashes set in stucco surrounds, while the ground floor has two canted bays with 8-12-8-pane hornless sash windows and bracketed eaves. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a traceried overlight, located within a trellissed porch.
The front terrace wall is constructed with two squared stone piers topped with pyramid caps and ball finials, and features an iron gate with dog-bars, although the original railings are no longer present. Access from the street is provided by five slate steps.
