Description

Northfield Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house located in Warkworth. It is constructed of squared stone with a Welsh slate roof, featuring one stack rebuilt in brick. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay design. A renewed central door is set within a segmental-arched recess and features a Percy crest above. It is flanked by four-pane sash windows with slightly-projecting sills, all of which have been renewed. An eaves band runs along the roofline. The gables are coped and sit on footstones. A left-hand end stack has been rendered, while the right-hand end stack has been rebuilt. The rear elevation shows a two-bay rear wing with a four-pane sash window and a blind window on the ground floor, and two twelve-pane sashes above, all of which are renewed. The left-hand gable of the rear wing is coped and includes a stepped-and-corniced stack. A 20th-century timber front porch, rendered rear porch, and altered outbuildings are not considered to be of special interest.
