Description
The henhouse and attached structures located to the north-west of Birling Manor date from the late 18th century. They are constructed of roughly-squared stone with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a pantile roof. The end of the henhouse features a boarded door set in an alternating-block surround, with a small opening above it and a monopitch roof. On the right side, there is a blocked henhole above a stone shelf. The left side of the henhouse has an attached pent outbuilding with a doorway on the right side. At both ends of the outbuilding, there are attached walls with flat coping, and the left wall extends to enclose a small yard. This structure is included for its group value.
