Description

Maelor House is a two-storey, double-fronted house built from rubble stone, featuring a slate close-eaved roof and brick end stacks. Originally free-standing, it later had Maelor View added to the right. The windows are 4-pane hornless sashes, each with tooled stone lintels and sills. The entrance consists of a four-panel door topped by a single overlight. The ground floor windows and door are adorned with large shaped stone lintels. It is likely that the original windows were 16-pane sashes, similar to those found elsewhere in New Brighton.
