Description
The structure is a garden wall and gate located to the west of the Abbey. It is made of rubble stone and features gabled copings in red plain tiles. The wall is stepped up with a slope, consisting of seven longer sections and one shorter section, each topped with tiled coping that stops just short of the step. At the downhill left end, there is a stone pier with a pyramid-shaped tiled cap. The gateway at the uphill right end is gabled and has plain-tile coping, with a pointed arch made of stone voussoirs. The piers of the gateway project as two stout buttresses with tiled set-offs, with the right buttress dated 1912. There is a short shoulder to the right with gabled tiled coping, which echoes the coping on the left.
