Description

The Cottages is a row of cottages, built in the 20th century, featuring whitewashed roughcast exteriors and clay-tile roofs. The building has five chimneys, two of which are larger. It consists of two storeys, with four two-window cottages numbered 1 to 4, and two double-fronted cottages to the east, numbered 5 and 6. The cottages have renewed 12-pane sash windows and 20th-century doors. Cottages 1 to 4 are arranged as two mirrored pairs, with doors located in the inner bay.

At the rear, there is an outshut for cottages 1 to 4, which includes four lead-clad dormers with pairs of casement windows. The rear garden wall is made of whitewashed rubble stone and features five arched doors, with the arch-heads of the last two doors higher than the wall-head, all constructed with stone voussoirs. The sixth door has lost its arch. The wall-head has been raised with blockwork to support a plastic sheet roof. The property has not been inspected.
