Description
The Cottages is the fourth house in a row of cottages, featuring whitewashed roughcast and late 20th-century clay-tile roofs with five chimneys, two of which are larger. The building is two storeys high and consists of four two-window cottages (numbers 1 to 4) and two double-fronted cottages to the east (numbers 5 and 6). The cottages have renewed 12-pane sash windows and 20th-century doors. Numbers 1 to 4 are arranged as two mirrored pairs, with doors located in the inner bay.
At the rear, there is an outshut for numbers 1 to 4, which includes four lead-clad dormers with pairs of casement windows. The rear garden wall is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone and features five arched doors, with the arch-heads of the last two doors higher than the wall-head, all supported by stone voussoirs. The sixth doorway has lost its arch. The wall-head has been raised with blockwork to support a plastic sheet roof.
The property has not been inspected.
