Description
Castle View Hotel is a terraced house dating from the 19th century, featuring painted stucco with a dentil cornice and a parapet. The building stands three storeys high and has two bays. On the second floor, there are two 4-pane sash windows set in moulded stuccoed surrounds. The first floor includes a large late 19th-century canted oriel window with a 1-2-1 light configuration, top-lights, and a hipped metal roof. The ground floor has a long three-light window with top-lights that align with the oriel, along with a square-headed doorway that has a plain surround, a half-glazed door, and an overlight.
Inside, there is a fine first-floor room featuring a bay window, a vinework cornice, and a large central plaster ceiling rose. The staircase has stick balusters.
