Description

The churchyard cross, located in the churchyard of the Church of St David, is a stone structure set on a rough stone step. It features a tapered octagonal base with a well-lettered inscription that reads, "Pray for the soul of dame Margaret Egerton buried near this cross and also for her son Major Robert Egerton MC RFC killed in France 1917 aged 25." The cross itself is tall and slim, square at the base and broached to an octagonal shape, with a carved figure of the crucified Christ under a stone gable.
