Description

The Pier Building is a warehouse constructed from squared brown rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring coped gables. It stands four storeys high and has a three-window range, with doors at the centre of each floor and small square windows on either side. The ground floor has double doors set in a wider opening, while the upper doors have been converted into windows. The building includes stone voussoirs and two raised bands. The north end wall features a large 20th-century glazed section that extends from the third floor into the gable, with one small window on each floor otherwise. The rear of the building has a 20th-century or remodelled lean-to against the first floor, and the south end has a two-storey addition, with painted rubble stone below and weatherboarding above.
