Louvain is a terraced house built from exposed coursed rubble stone with a slated roof and rendered end stacks. It has two storeys and features a three-window range of original hornless 12-pane sash windows with slate sills and stone voussoirs. The centre of the house has an original six-panel door with an overlight and similar stone voussoirs. The flat eaves are supported by brackets. The house is not marked on the 1847 Tithe Map.
