Description
Moonstone is a terraced house featuring stone rubble walls and a slate roof with end stacks, one made of stone rubble on the left and a higher brick stack on the right. The house is two storeys tall with a cellar and has a three-window range, showcasing 12-pane sash windows and a central doorway. The original six-panelled door has the top four panels fielded and includes a plain overlight above. There is a doorway to the cellar beneath the left-hand window, which has a ledged door. All openings are accented with black brick 20th-century voussoirs, and the upper floor heads are slightly more cambered. The forecourt is enclosed by high stone rubble walls and features a flight of nine steps, with an entry at the base to the left, flanked by rough stone rubble piers. There is a later wing at the rear of the house. In a previous listing, it was noted that the roof was made of grouted cement and the walls were colourwashed.
