Description
Talarfor is a detached house constructed of rubble stone, with the front elevation finished in painted roughcast. It features a slate roof with brick end stacks, the right stack being larger and positioned below the apex of the roof. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range, although it was formerly two parallel ranges that have been combined under a single roof, as indicated by the gable-end wall.
On the upper floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows flanking a central 16-pane sash window. The ground floor includes a small square bay window, which was renewed in the 20th century, featuring a 12-pane front sash window and narrow 4-pane side windows, situated on either side of the central doorway. Three slate steps lead up to a six-panelled door, with the upper two panels fielded and a plain overlight above. The doorway is framed by channelled piers and a stucco surround. The plinth reveals previous stucco cladding that was lined to resemble ashlar.
The interior has not been inspected, but a previous listing notes a fireplace with an iron grate and another fireplace located in the rear left-hand room, which has a cornice supported by consoles.
