Description
This is a detached house dating from the 18th century, built of stone rubble with colourwashed roughcast cladding. It has a slate roof with paired brackets to the eaves and stucco-clad end stacks. The front elevation has three windows per floor, with 12-pane hornless sash windows. A square bay window with a 12-pane sash window is located on the ground floor to the right. The central doorway is framed by a plain stucco surround and features a four-panelled door with an overlight containing marginal glazing bars.
The front garden is enclosed by badly eroded wrought iron railings set into a dwarf stuccoed wall with short, square uprights arranged in a diamond pattern and topped with scrolled and twisted finials. Two small gates are centrally positioned, featuring uprights and finials matching the rest of the railings, and possess an arched top. The gate and railings are similar in style to those found at number 41 High Street. Previous inspections noted that the roof had been cemented.
