Description
Prospect House is a detached house constructed from stone rubble with painted stucco cladding that is lined to resemble ashlar. It has a slate roof and painted stuccoed end stacks. The building is two stories high and features a three-window range. On the upper floor, there are 3-4 pane sash windows. The ground floor includes a canted bay window with a 4-pane sash window at the front and 2-pane sash windows on either side of a central doorway. The doorway itself has a six-panelled design, with the top four panels being fielded and a plain overlight above.
At the rear, the house has a painted, roughly-plastered stone rubble finish and includes a flat-roofed 20th-century extension on the ground floor. The first floor has five windows set at uneven heights; three of these feature stone voussoirs with keystones, and there are 4-4 pane sash windows, while the second window from the right is a 9-pane sash window. The second window from the left is set lower, serving as a stair-light. The twelve-pane sash windows noted in a previous listing are no longer present.
