Description
Barclays Bank is a pair of houses, with No 6 converted into the bank in 1924. The building features painted stucco with a slate roof and rendered end stacks. It is two stories high and has a four-window range, with hornless 12-pane sash windows that have slate sills and stucco cambered voussoirs. The building includes stucco quoins and paired brackets supporting the flat eaves. No 7 has a ground floor sash window to the right and an original six-panel door to the left, which has four fielded panels and an arched head with a traceried fanlight and stucco surround. The Barclays Bank section has an altered timber shopfront with 19th-century outer panelled piers, a bracketed fascia, and a cornice. There is a 20th-century broad centre window with top-lights, a window to the left with top-lights, and a door to the right.
