Description

The Captains Table is a former sail-making warehouse built from squared brown stone, featuring a hipped slate eaves roof. The building has four storeys and a six-window façade with cambered-headed windows that have stone voussoirs and cemented sills. The windows have 20th-century glazing. The top floor is half-height with shorter windows, while the ground floor windows are slightly longer, and there is a door located in the fifth bay. Three raised bands run between the floors, with the lowest band dated 1857.

The east end facing Church Street has a similar one-window range, with a ground floor door flanked by a window on each side. The top floor window on this side has been enlarged.

The south side of the building features two side wall stacks and a four-window range of windows that are similar to those on the north front.
