Description
3 High Street is a terrace of three houses constructed from brown squared stone, featuring a slate roof and three stone chimney stacks. Each house is three stories high with a two-window range. The upper windows are small 6-pane designs, while the lower floors have 12-pane sash windows and doors with overlights on the left side. The buildings have painted slate sills and cambered door and window heads with stone voussoirs, along with bracketed eaves.
Number 2 has had its two upper windows blocked and a large 20th-century dormer added. Number 1 features a small gabled addition on its end wall. This attractive stone terrace showcases fine quality masonry and was likely built shortly after 1847, predating Number 4, which is slightly taller and has more precise masonry. The terrace has seen little alteration aside from the changes at Number 2.
