Description

Nos 1 and 2 Ivy Place are a pair of houses built from rubble stone, featuring a slate eaves roof and stone end stacks. The eaves are bracketed. The front of the houses is tall, with a basement and three storeys, arranged in three bays. The centre windows are blank, while the outer windows are 12-pane sashes, with half-size versions in the attic. These windows have timber lintels, and the others feature cambered heads with stone voussoirs and painted slate sills. The ground floor has paired doors that lead up four broad slate steps. The doors are four-panel designs with small-paned overlights. On each side of the basement, there is a door and a 9-pane window, both with stone voussoirs.
