Description
Bodalaw is a late Victorian town house that stands as part of a reflected pair with Ivy House. It is 2½ storeys high, featuring pebble-dashed walls, a slate roof, and brick end stacks. Bodalaw is painted white, while Ivy House is grey. The upper storey displays smooth-rendered X-pattern panels that imitate timber framing, bordered by bands at the sill and lintel levels, topped with a frieze of lozenges. The entrances are located on the inner sides and are accessed by replacement steps. Ivy House has a panel door, while Bodalaw features a half-glazed panel door, both of which are set beneath overlights. The entrances are sheltered by a continuous canopy, which includes a wooden latticework partition and a moulded wooden post, situated between hipped canted bay windows that contain 4-pane horned sashes. The first floor also has 4-pane horned sash windows. Additionally, Ivy House has a small-pane attic window in its left gable end. Bodalaw belongs to a group with Ivy House.
