Description

12 and 14 Crown Lane are two houses that form part of a terrace of four single-fronted homes. They feature a whitened pebble-dashed front with smooth-rendered surrounds and a slate roof. Number 14, located at the left end, is the best preserved of the two. It has a replacement boarded door on the right, which is sheltered by a gabled canopy supported by brackets. The house has hornless sash windows, with 12-pane sashes on the lower storey and 9-pane sashes above, all set within architraves. Number 12 has a replacement panel door with an overlight on the right, also in a gabled surround. The windows in this house have been replaced but remain in their original openings. Both houses belong to a group context with 12-14 Crown Lane.
