Description

A Georgian 3-storey 3-bay house, incorporating a former shop, of cream-painted pebble-dashed front with smooth-rendered quoin strip to the R, plinth, architraves, and 1st and 2nd-floor sill bands. The roof is slate. Stacks have been taken down. Openings are offset to the L of centre. The central entrance has a half-glazed fielded-panel door and overlight, in a surround with eared architrave. In the R-hand bay is a C19 shop front. It has a fixed window of 12 panes, and panelled door with overlight to its R, each framed by panelled pilasters and beneath a moulded deep cornice. Windows have eared and lugged architraves and are hornless sashes. In the lower storey is a 12-pane window in the L-hand bay. The 1st floor has 12-pane windows, the 2nd floor 9-pane windows, with blind central window. The 1-bay R gable end, to Sea View Terrace, has a 12-pane shop window and panelled pilasters to a moulded cornice, similar to the front. Above are 12-pane and 9-pane windows, also similar to the front. On the 1st-floor sill band is a cast-iron street sign. The L gable end is pebble-dashed. The rear has a shallow outshut and a skylight on the R side and 9-pane 2nd-floor sash window.
