Description

Nos 12 and 14 Crown Lane are two houses forming part of a terrace of four single-fronted properties. They have a whitened pebble-dashed front, smooth-rendered detailing, and slate roofs. Number 14, at the left-hand end of the terrace, is the best-preserved of the two. It features a replacement boarded door to the right, sheltered by a gabled canopy supported on brackets. The windows are hornless sash windows; the lower-storey windows have 12 panes, while those above have 9 panes, all set within architraves. Number 12 has a replacement panel door with an overlight, contained within a gabled surround. The windows in both houses have been replaced, but are set within their original openings. The buildings are noted as belonging to a group value context.
