Description
14-15 Cornhill is a pair of 2½-storey double-fronted houses built from large squared slate-stone blocks arranged in regular courses. They feature a slate roof with two skylights on each house and stone end stacks. Number 14 has raised rendered surrounds painted white, a fielded-panel door beneath a narrow overlight, and 4-pane hornless sash windows. Number 15 also has raised rendered surrounds, but features a replacement half-glazed door under a narrow overlight and 4-pane horned sash windows. Each house has slate steps leading to the entrances. Number 14 includes a dwarf forecourt wall made of coursed, roughly shaped blocks, while Number 15 has replacement steps.
Both houses have replacement windows at the rear, and Number 14 has an added large dormer. The interior has been modernised. This pair of houses belongs to a group context with 14-15 Pencei (Cornhill).
