Description
Tafarn Pencei Cafe Bar is a pair of 2-window, 2½-storey houses built in a range with No 19 Cornhill, now converted into a single premises. Constructed from large slate-stone blocks laid in regular courses, the building features a slate roof, with No 18 on the right side being lower than No 17. Both units have replacement glazed doors on the right side and a 12-pane horned sash window. The upper storey includes 4-pane horned sashes arranged in two pairs. No 17, on the left, has a large added gabled roof dormer, while No 18, on the right, has two added skylights. On the left side, there is a 1-storey projection with a balcony above, located on the site of No 16. The left gable end, which was formerly a dividing wall with No 16, is rendered and painted cream, featuring a glazed door that opens to the balcony.
At the rear, there is a 2-storey gabled extension on the left side (No 18) and a flat-roof addition on the right side (No 17), which also has a raised slate-hung upper storey. The interior has been modernised.
