Description
Awelfor is a terrace of three, three-storey, two-window houses built under a single roof with a slate roof and stone stacks, except for a pebble-dashed stack at the right end of No. 3. The openings in each house are set to the left side. No. 1 has a whitened, scribed roughcast front and is aligned with No. 21 Cornhill. It features a half-glazed door on the left, a replacement shop window to its right, and four-pane sash windows in the middle and upper storeys. No. 2 has a pebble-dashed front, a replacement half-glazed door on the left, and two-pane sash windows. No. 3 is constructed of large blocks of local stone laid in regular courses, now revealed following the removal of render. It also has a replacement half-glazed door on the left and two-pane sash windows, with a pebble-dashed gable end on the right.
The rear of No. 1 is built of large blocks of local slate-stone laid in regular courses, retaining a four-pane sash window in the middle storey, although other openings have been replaced. The rear of Nos. 2 and 3 are rendered and contain replacement windows. No. 3 also includes a two-storey lean-to on the rear. The building belongs to a group located at 1-3 Lombard Street.
