Tregunter, including forecourt railings and gate

Tregunter, comprising numbers 4, 4a and 5 Lombard Street, is a 2½-storey double-fronted house (No. 4) and shop (No. 5) with scribed roughcast front painted cream and a slate roof. The building is approached through cast iron forecourt railings mounted on a dressed slate plinth, with a terminal pebble-dashed pier on the left side and railings returning against the corner of the shop window on the right.

No. 4 features rendered end stacks and is entered through a half-glazed door incorporating coloured glazing and the figure of a sailing ship, positioned under an overlight and flanked by canted bay windows. The left-hand bay window contains a 4-pane sash, while the right-hand bay is a replacement window now forming part of the adjoining shop. The upper storey has 4-pane sash windows. The left gable end is pebble-dashed with a 2-pane sash window lighting the stair and a small attic window to the right.

A lower 2-storey rear wing (No. 4a) has a central door flanked by 4-pane sash windows, with replacement top-hung casements in the upper storey.

No. 5 is a shop with large single-pane bay windows incorporating original mullions and thin transoms in the returns, positioned between recessed replacement half-glazed doors. Above the shop front is an awning, fascia with modern lettering, and a cornice incorporating a moulded billet frieze. A stone stack rises on the right side. The upper storey features a canted oriel window with 4-pane sash and two gabled dormers with 4-pane sash windows and slate-hung sides. To the rear, a 4-pane sash window sits under a gable in the upper storey, with an added lower 2-storey wing and stack to the left.
