Description
Ivy House and Bodalaw are a pair of late Victorian town houses, each 2½ stories tall and single-fronted. They feature pebble-dashed walls, a slate roof, and brick end stacks. Ivy House is grey, while Bodalaw is painted white. The upper storey displays smooth-rendered X-pattern panels that mimic timber framing, bordered by bands at the sill and lintel levels, with a frieze of lozenges above. The entrances are located on the inner sides and accessed via replacement steps. Ivy House has a panel door, while Bodalaw has a half-glazed panel door, both with overlights. The entrances are sheltered by a continuous canopy, which includes a wooden latticework partition and a moulded wooden post, positioned between hipped canted bay windows featuring 4-pane horned sashes. The first floor also has 4-pane horned sash windows. On the left gable end of Ivy House, there is a small-pane attic window. This building is part of a group that includes both Ivy House and Bodalaw.
